CHILEAN FRESH FRUIT
In the course of a single decade, Chilean fresh fruit has earned a name for itself as a world-class product.
Chile is surrounded on all sides by formidable natural barriers, effectively shielding it from pests and diseases. As a long country, Chile has practically all climate types, from the scorching deserts of the north to the cold expanses of the south. The result is the ability to grow a wide range of quality products, including grapes, apples, cherries, blueberries, kiwis, plums, pears, lemons, clementines, oranges, avocados, peaches, nectarines, blue berries among others.
Producers ship to more than 100 destinations around the world, including the United States, European Markets and demanding markets in Asia. .
The industry has invested heavily in technology and development to ensure strict quality control, so as to guarantee the standards of health, colour, flavour, firmness and aroma. This has enabled Chile to become the Southern Hemisphere’s prime fresh fruit exporter and the world’s number one exporter of table grapes, cherries and blueberries.
As an exporter country, Chile meets all the Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) standards required by world markets, as certified by recognized international institutions.

FOODS FROM CHILE, SOURCE OF LIFE
Chile is a country with great natural and human potential located in a place of amazing geographical and climatic contrasts. Chile’s unique characteristics lend it unrivalled conditions for producing fresh, pure, healthy, good quality food which is appreciated around the world.
Chile has the most transparent skies on Earth and possesses some of the world’s most significant freshwater reserves. Natural barriers at all four compass points protect Chile, converting it into a true phytosanitary island, thereby reducing the incidence of pests and diseases.
As it is such a long country, Chile has an unusually varied range of climates. One that particularly stands out is the Mediterranean climate, which has enabled Chile to become a major food producer. This climate is especially advantageous for obtaining good quality raw materials and staggered production, which is counter-seasonal to the Northern Hemisphere.

FRUITS FROM CHILE
Fruits from Chile is the brand name under which Chilean fruit is being promoted in generic activities, such as trade fairs and promotional export activities. It is a consistent and harmonized branding strategy for the Chilean fruit sector and related sectors, designed to reflect the image and values conveyed by Chile’s country branding project.
The brand is based on the key factors that have permitted Chile to become a world fruit export leader, the unique characteristics of the country of origin, the quality of its products and the spirit of its workers.
This is the result of an important effort between the private-public sector represented through the Chilean Fruit Exporters Association (ASOEX) and ProChile (the Chilean Promotion Bureau).
-
ASOEX – FRESH
FRUIT EXPORTERS ASSOCIATIONThe Chilean Fresh Fruit Exporters Association is a non-for-profit trade association, founded in 1935, whose members represent 96.5% of the total volume of fruits exported from the country and 63.1% of total hectares of fresh fruit planted in Chile. The institution’s main objective is to facilitate the export process of fruits from Chile around the globe.
