Why Chile?

Chile is a
country with unrivalled climatic, geographic and human conditions,
which is renowned for its open economy and ranking in the world.

Chile has some of the clearest skies in the world and large fresh water reserves. Also, its unique geographic and weather characteristics create an island effect from the phytosanitary perspective.

The Atacama Desert to the north, the Andes to the east, the Pacific Ocean to the west and Antarctica to the south are natural barriers that isolate food production and protect it from pests and disease.

Chile is a member of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), which is indicative of its integrity, solidity and perseverance.

The country is ranked 24 among 176 countries on Transparency International’s 2016 Corruption Perceptions Index.

With 26 free trade agreements (FTA) signed with 64 economies, Chile has free access to the world’s largest markets.

Today Chile has preferential access to 64.1% of the world population and 86.3% of global GDP.

Chile has achieved international recognition for the development of productive sectors thanks to the emergence of companies developing solutions and qualified professionals who work day in and day out to find answers to shared and specific problems.
