Foods from Chile
Our origins have defined our will and national character. The will to overcome obstacles, to cross frontiers, forge new routes and take on challenges. The character to face the world, the determination to overcome difficulties and move past any adversity that may arise, breaking through the powerful strength of our geography.
These are the origins of the flavours and fruits of a fertile and generous land. With a distinctive seal that combines time-honoured wisdom with processes and technology to enhance and maintain the purity, freshness, and healthiness of the food.
The gardens that produce these foods are a privileged place on Earth: a human, geographical and climatic space that shapes the qualities of what we do.
Chile plays a key role in the global food industry. A reliable supplier of safe, healthy food that meets the highest standards demanded by international consumers. Food products from Chile are leaders in their markets. And with the exceptional conditions Chile provides, they are set to continue increasing their value.
With 26 free trade agreements signed with 64 countries, Chile currently has free access to all the major world markets on every continent. Today Chile has access to trade preferences with 63.3% of the world’s population and 85.3% of the world’s GDP.

Fruits from Chile
Chile is surrounded on all sides by formidable natural barriers effectively shielding it from pests and diseases. As a long country, the country has practically all climate types, from the scorching deserts of the north to the cold expanses of the south. The result is the ability to grow a wide range of quality products, including table grapes, apples, cherries, blueberries, kiwifruit, plums, pears, lemons, clementines, oranges, avocados, peaches, nectarines, among others.
In recent years, Chile has diversified its range of fruit and new products are now conquering markets, such as pomegranates, plumcots, grapefruits, persimmons, maqui berries and figs.
Chile’s global fresh fruit exports have grown by 94% over the last decade and the value of shipments doubled from US$2 billion in 2005 to US$4 billion in 2015.
Chilean fruit reaches a total of 103 markets through 690 companies.
Asia is the region with the strongest growth in fresh fruit shipments, which have increased fivefold over the last decade, from US$243 million in 2005 to US$1.1 billion in 2015.
Fruits from Chile are cultivated by dedicated hands along the Pacific coast in the southernmost region of the American continent. They benefit from privileged geographical and Mediterranean climatic conditions, which contribute to guaranteeing a quality, reliable and delicious product that represents the best of Chile and the spirit of its people.
